W: The Movie

Tue Apr 22, 2008 at 05:09:16 PM PDT

Wanted to inject some mindless fun into tonight's environment...have been drinking for about an hour now for full disclosure.

So, I'm sure many people know about Oliver Stone's upcoming movie about GWB.

Much news has been made about the casting decisions for this movie, but I wanted to get my 2 cents in.

For what it's worth, here it is.

What are your choices for the main players?

I will vote McCain if Obama isn't the nominee!

Please excuse the short diary but just something that has been on my mind for the past few days.

The thought running through my mind that I cannot get past has been what to do if, by some horrible accident, Obama did not achieve the Democratic nomination.  A big part of me says:

"Don't vote for Clinton.  If McCain wins in 2008, it primes 2012 for the return of Obama!  That's great...serves this country right for not doing what it should have done in the first place.  If democrats don't realize that Obama is THE ONE who can change this country for the better, they deserve 4 more years of Bush/McCain."

This is a horrible thought for so many reasons.  Follow for more.

Chris Matthew is my hero for today

I was watching "Morning Joe" this morning (still not sure why) and getting thoroughly pissed at Joe for all of his BS.

Joe spent half the morning pissing all over Obama while claiming he was his biggest supporter.  It's like just because he says that the speech on race was "historic" is license to then focus only on the political fallout of all racially tinged language related to the campaign.

He misses the point so completely, I was screaming at the television (a very healthy endeavor, I know).

Michigan and Florida Re-Vote Idea - Thoughts?

Sun Mar 09, 2008 at 10:13:24 AM PDT

So the BIG issue these days that a lot of the networks are focusing on is what to do about Florida and Michigan.

I know Michigan had an idea to allow a re-vote to all those who did not vote in the Republican primary.

My idea for both Florida and Michigan is a little different and could help resolve the issue of seating delegates fairly while still penalizing the states for engaging in primaries in violation of DNC rules.

My proposal (and not necessarily a good one, just want to hear thoughts) is to allow a re-vote in both states to all who did not cast ANY vote in those initial contests.
